AI for Translators

Fully online, hands-on training by JTP & MTI

Course Outline

The so-called artificial intelligence (AI) is making headway in a number of areas, translation
being no exception. There are both pros and cons to this technology, which translators
should address to be able to make informed decisions in and for the future.

Participants will learn more about the systems currently available, such as ChatGPT. They will discover their machine translation (MT) capabilities and contrast them with widely used MT systems. They will delve into the art of prompting AI systems and practice genAI's useful features beyond MT, such as language conditioning, MT customization, and translation quality evaluation.

Suitable even for complete beginners
